Whenever you set up your McAfee VPN Make sure that you are using the current McAfee that came with its, VPN capabilities. This is mostly a part of their security solutions such as McAfee Total Protection security software among others.  

If your device Windows 

Visit the protection McAfee that is available at protection.mcafee.com and input your login details.

Under ‘Device’ tap on Secure VPN.  

Select the “Download on this device” option and read further information that appears on the screen.

When your device macOS:

Just as with Windows, first, bring your browser to protection.mcafee.com and sign in; then follow the path of ‘Secure VPN.’

After that navigate to the ‘Download now’ tab and follow the installation steps.
